Motivation and Science

What motivates you to learn the chemistry that we are covering this year?
Chemistry has been interesting and informational for me so far this year. The material we are learning in the class has been getting to me pretty well. I think this is my biggest motivation to learn chemistry. If I did not get what is happening in class, and what Mr. Grdinic and the class is saying, I wouldn't be studying Chemistry as hard as I would. I would lose interest and put the least effort I can put in.

Also, the grades are part of the motivation. If I did not have to get A's, to meet the goals my parents, family, and my self has set, I wouldn't be so eager to learn Chemistry. This is an example of Extrinsic motivation. But it's also a goal I have set, so it's also a Intrinsic motivation. I want to do well, and be recognized, so this is what motivates me to learn not only chemistry, but also other classes and subjects.
